Mauri-what...?

These are the journals that I kept while travelling... from Tunisia to Mauritania to The Central African Republic and anywhere else I happened to have written about while I was there. I'll try to input them in chronological order...

I make no apologies for what I wrote at those ages. It will be naive at times, offensive at times, just downright dumb at times, but these were big chunks of me. I will do little editing other than (maybe) spellcheck. I will even try to leave the bad grammar & spelling in, but sometimes I may unconsciously correct it. If there is anyone that I feel that will be specifically harmed or embarrassed by a certain entry, I may withhold it, but I'll tell you that I'm doing so.

I'll try and figure out a way to fit everything in... I wrote a lot in the margins, so I'll squeeze those notes in at the bottom of the posts.

A really big edit here: I'M MAKING ALL KINDS OF APOLOGIES FOR WHAT I WROTE. I apparently a self-important, hormone-crazed idiot, and I'm sorry. I'm hpoing that I'm not quite so bad, decades later. I will be making some comments about my idiocy, though on another blog (http://jasonsroad.blogspot.com/) so that I won't self-edit here. It's rough typing in some of this stuff.

I read most of the day. Didn’t really feel like anything. Kind of an emotional gray void, where nothing enters, nothing exists.
